Ovation Acclaim Clit Vibrator by California Exotics

The Ovation Acclaim Clit Vibrator by California Exotics is a compact silicone massager that delivers deep thumping pulses instead of traditional vibration, targeting the clitoris with customisable intensity across 10 speeds. Its memory chip recalls your last setting, and the IPX7 waterproof rating means you can use it in the shower or bath. It suits anyone seeking sensation beyond standard buzzing.

What's in the box, and what it does

The Ovation Acclaim Clit Vibrator by California Exotics is engineered to deliver deep, rhythmic pulses that feel fundamentally different from standard vibrators. Instead of high-frequency surface buzzing, it uses a thumping mechanism that penetrates with waves of pressure, building and releasing in a rhythm that many find more satisfying and intense. The massager is built from medical-grade silicone, ensuring it is safe for sensitive genital skin and compatible with both water-based and silicone-based lubricants. Its compact, rounded head concentrates stimulation exactly where you need it, whether you prefer broad contact or pinpoint pressure. Unlike traditional clit pulsators that rely on speed alone, this design changes the entire character of sensation you receive.

What makes this massager stand out is the built-in memory chip that learns your favourite setting and returns to it instantly every time you switch it on—no scrolling through speeds to find the one that worked last time. The USB rechargeable battery delivers roughly 70 minutes of continuous use, and the travel lock feature keeps the device silent and inactive while it's packed away. At just 7 cm across, it is discreet enough to slip into a drawer or travel bag without drawing attention.

Getting started with a clit ticklers and pulsator

Start by fully charging the device via USB before your first use—the battery needs to be primed for optimal performance. Apply a small amount of lubricant to the head of the massager to reduce friction and allow it to glide smoothly across your skin. Switch the device on at the lowest speed setting to familiarise yourself with the thumping sensation, which feels different from vibration. You can use it solo or during partnered sex; many people find the compact size works well during intercourse because it allows access without obstruction. Unlike some vibrating condoms that work best inside the vagina, this massager is designed for external clitoral stimulation.

Once you are comfortable with the sensation, gradually increase the speed to find your preferred intensity. The memory function means you can power down at any time and the device will return to that exact speed next session. Clean the head thoroughly after each use with warm water and a toy-specific cleanser, then allow it to air-dry completely before charging or storing. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. The travel lock should be engaged whenever the device is packed away to prevent battery drain.

Is this the one for you?

Care and storage

Clean the silicone head with warm water and a toy-specific cleanser immediately after use, paying attention to any seams or textured areas where bacteria might collect. Rinse thoroughly under running water and pat dry with a clean, lint-free cloth. Once completely dry, store the device in a cool, dark place away from direct heat or sunlight, ideally in a dedicated drawer or toy bag. Recharge via USB whenever the battery runs low—regular partial charges do not damage lithium batteries. Avoid storing in damp environments or sealed containers without ventilation.

What to expect

The thumping sensation is genuinely different from vibration, and it takes a moment to adjust. Most people notice on first use that the pulsing feels deeper and more rhythmic than traditional vibrators—some describe it as a grabbing-and-releasing motion rather than a steady buzz. Intensity builds gradually as you move through the speed settings, which means you can find the exact point where sensation peaks for you.

First-timers often need to experiment with positioning and pressure to find what feels best. The compact size means you can angle it precisely, but it does require you to hold it—there is no suction cup or hands-free mount. Most people spend the first session simply exploring how each speed feels rather than trying to reach climax, which removes performance pressure and helps you learn what this device does well.

Cleaning is straightforward because the silicone surface is non-porous and the waterproof rating means you can rinse it thoroughly under running water. Battery life is realistic—at higher speeds you will get closer to 60 minutes than the maximum 70-minute estimate, but that is still longer than most handheld massagers. The travel lock genuinely prevents accidental activation, so you can pack it without worry.
