What you're getting

Hot Extra-Warming Lubricant 8 fl. oz by California Exotics is a purpose-built water-based lubricant engineered to deliver genuine warming sensation without overwhelming heat or discomfort. The thermal-reactive formula activates on skin contact and intensifies as you move, creating a gradual temperature rise that builds naturally throughout use. California Exotics formulated this to balance sensation with safety—you get real warmth alongside smooth, consistent glide. The water-based lubricant composition means it works safely with toys, accessories, and condoms while supporting intimate health through pH balance.

What sets this lubricant apart is the extended performance window. Most warming lubes require frequent reapplication; this one maintains optimal glide for up to two hours, so you stay comfortable throughout a session without stopping to add more. The cinnamon flavour is sugar-free and works beautifully for oral activities, adding aromatic warmth without artificial taste. The formula excludes phthalates, parabens, and artificial colorants, making it suitable for regular use on sensitive areas.

Using it the right way

Apply Hot Extra-Warming Lubricant generously to the area you wish to lubricate before activity begins. The warming effect starts within about one minute and intensifies as you move and create friction—allow time for the sensation to build rather than expecting immediate intense heat. Start with a small amount if you are new to warming lubricants; you can always add more, and a little goes a long way with this formula. During use, the warmth will continue building naturally; this is normal and indicates the thermal-reactive compounds are working as intended.

For extended sessions, the lubricant maintains glide for up to two hours without significant drying. If you notice any reduction in slip during longer use, add a small amount of water or a few drops of the lubricant itself to revive the glide rather than applying a large fresh amount. After activity, wash thoroughly with warm water and mild soap. For flavored lubricant products like this, rinse any residue from sensitive areas to prevent irritation. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Care and storage

Rinse the squeeze bottle under warm running water after each use and allow it to air-dry completely before sealing. Store upright in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and heat sources, which can degrade the formula. Keep the cap tightly closed to prevent contamination and evaporation. Do not freeze or expose to extreme temperature fluctuations. Shelf life is maximised when stored at room temperature away from moisture.

What to expect

The warming sensation begins roughly one minute after application and continues building throughout your session. First-time users often underestimate how gradually the heat develops—patience during the initial minutes allows you to acclimate to the sensation rather than experiencing shock. The warmth is noticeable but not aggressive; most people find it improves sensitivity and intensity without crossing into discomfort.

The two-hour performance window is genuine. A normal application maintains adequate glide throughout that period, though the exact duration depends on friction level and how much you reapply. Heavy use or high friction may require topping up around the 90-minute mark. The cinnamon flavour is subtle and works well for oral activities without overwhelming your palate or tasting artificial.

Cleanup is straightforward—warm water and mild soap remove residue completely. The water-based formula rinses away easily and leaves no sticky residue on skin or bedding. Storage is equally simple because the bottle is compact and the cap seals securely, preventing accidental leaks. Most people find this lubricant reliable and consistent across multiple uses.

Those sensitive to warming lubricants or cinnamon should start cautiously, applying a test amount to a small area first. The formula is gentle on sensitive tissue, but individual reactions vary. If any irritation develops, discontinue use and rinse thoroughly with cool water.
