CleanStream Silicone Open Flow Top Douche and Enema Bag

The CleanStream Silicone Open Flow Top Douche and Enema Bag is a gravity-fed cleansing system with a 2.5-quart capacity and 50-inch flexible tubing for personal hygiene preparation. Its wide-mouth opening allows thorough interior cleaning between uses, and medical-grade silicone construction ensures durability and safety for sensitive contact.

What it is and how it's made

The CleanStream Silicone Open Flow Top Douche and Enema Bag is a medical-grade cleansing system designed for thorough personal hygiene preparation. It consists of a soft silicone reservoir with a wide-mouth opening, connected to flexible tubing with an applicator attachment. The gravity-fed design requires no pumping or batteries—you fill the bag, hang it from the integrated hook, and water flows naturally through the tubing. Unlike basic douches, the open-top construction allows you to rinse and clean every interior surface between uses, eliminating trapped moisture and residue that closed systems cannot reach.

Medical-grade silicone resists degradation from heat and moisture far better than latex or PVC alternatives. The 50-inch tubing length and soft material feel comfortable against the body, while the phthalate-free composition makes it safe for sensitive areas. This combination of materials and design ensures the system maintains its integrity through regular use and cleaning over years.

Features worth knowing

• Wide-mouth opening: Fills easily and allows you to clean every interior surface thoroughly with water and a soft cloth between sessions.
• Extended tubing: 50 inches of flexible silicone tubing provides natural movement and comfortable positioning without tension or restriction.
• Integrated hanging hook: Sturdy hook supports hands-free operation and keeps the bag at an optimal height for gravity-fed flow.
• Medical-grade construction: Phthalate-free and latex-free silicone ensures safe contact with delicate tissue and resists bacterial growth.
• Universal compatibility: Works with all standard CleanStream attachments, allowing you to customise your cleansing routine as needed.

The technical detail

• Capacity: 2.5 quarts (80 fluid ounces) enables complete cleansing without interruption or refilling during use.
• Bag dimensions: 15 inches tall by 8.75 inches wide when filled, with compact storage when empty.
• Tubing length: 50 inches of soft flexible silicone with smooth interior for comfortable fluid flow.
• Material: Medical-grade silicone throughout; phthalate-free, latex-free, and non-porous to prevent bacterial harboring.
• Closure: Open flow-top design with no threads or seals; simply fill and hang using the integrated hook.
• Contents: Bag, tubing, and standard applicator attachment; compatible with all CleanStream optional nozzles.

How and when to use it

Fill the bag with warm water (not hot) through the wide-mouth opening, then hang it from the hook at a height above your body—typically from a shower rod or towel rack. Attach the included applicator to the tubing end, then insert gently and let gravity deliver the flow. Start with lower hanging height to control pressure, and adjust as needed. Most people use this during shower time for ease of cleanup. Allow water to flow until you feel completely emptied, then remove the applicator. The entire process typically takes 10 to 20 minutes depending on your preference.

After each use, immediately rinse the bag interior and tubing with clean water. The open-top design makes this straightforward—fill with water, swirl, and drain several times until the rinse water runs clear. Unlike enemas that require frequent small refills, this system's generous capacity means you complete your preparation in one session without stopping. Store the bag empty and hanging, or coiled loosely in a dry place, with tubing disconnected and laid flat to prevent kinking.

Who it suits

Care and storage

Rinse the bag and tubing immediately after every use with clean water. Fill the bag partway, swirl the water around inside, and drain completely; repeat several times until water runs clear. Allow all parts to air-dry completely before storage—hang the bag or lay it flat, and keep tubing uncoiled in a dry location. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can degrade silicone over time. Check tubing annually for cracks or discolouration and replace if needed. Never use harsh chemicals or bleach, as these damage silicone; plain water and mild soap are sufficient.

Dig deeper

Personal cleansing systems vary in capacity, material quality, and ease of maintenance. Understanding how reservoir size affects session length, and why medical-grade silicone outlasts cheaper alternatives, helps you choose equipment that serves you reliably for years. What to expect

The 2.5-quart capacity means most people complete a full cleansing session without refilling, which is a significant advantage over smaller systems. First-timers often misjudge hanging height—too low provides weak flow, too high feels pressurised. Hang the bag roughly 2 to 3 feet above your body and adjust from there. The silicone tubing is flexible but not limp; it holds a gentle curve without kinking.

Water temperature matters more than people expect. Warm water (around 35–37°C) feels comfortable and aids natural cleansing. Cold water causes cramping; hot water damages both tissue and the silicone material. Most users prefer to run the system during their shower for easy drainage and cleanup.

The open-top design does mean the bag takes slightly longer to dry than sealed systems—give it at least an hour of air-drying before storage. The medical-grade silicone resists odour and staining far better than latex or PVC, so long-term hygiene is straightforward. Users who maintain regular cleaning report this system lasting many years without degradation.

People tend to struggle most with the initial setup and positioning rather than the cleansing itself. Once you establish a routine and find your preferred hanging height, the process becomes natural and quick. Those seeking compact portability may find the size limiting, but for home use, the large capacity and thorough interior access make it the more reliable choice.
